Nagpur: As government is increasing number of seats in existing IITs and planning to brought up new IITs in the country, there are proposals to build IIT for females in Amravati, Maharashtra. The place is hometown of H.E. President Smt. Pratibha Patil. The ideas to build first all women IIT came from Saint Gadgebaba University vice-chancellor Kamal Singh. The HRD ministry has already sent the proposal in this regard to Prime Minister Office for consideration.
