OXFORD: The Chancellor of Oxford University Chris Patten believes that Indian students are much smarter than their peers at Oxford. At present the university has 257 students enrolled in different faculties of which one third are from China. It’s to be noted that the current prime minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh and Deputy Chairman Planning Commission, both studied at Oxford. Chancellor Patten called more and more students to join Oxford. Indian students are also successful in receiving scholarships at Oxford, last year 54 Indian students secured scholarships including the prestigious Rhodes Scholarships.
