Joseph H. Hulse the leading Biochemist from Canada receives this year’s Padma Sri, India’s highest civilian for his outstanding work. The award will be given in New Delhi here on Monday. Hulse worked throughout his career researching on food, nutrition and food security and written many books and presented research papers on the matter. He served as Vice President to International Development Research Center (IDRC) Canada and worked as scientific advisor to UN Secretary General. At present, Hulse is a visiting professor at the Central Food Technological Research Institute Mysore and the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation Tamil Nadu, besides he also hold many other academic positions.
